Slideshow: National pork organizations meet for official business, as well as face-to-face interactions.
Leaders in the U.S. pork industry gathered at the 2022 National Pork Industry Forum in Louisville, Ky., March 9-11 to set the course for the future for pig farmers across the nation.
Business was conducted, new programs unveiled, and resolutions and advisements were approved. But most of all, delegates of the National Pork Board and the National Pork Producers Council met in person. Due to COVID-19, the 2021 Pork Forum was held virtually.
The in-person meeting allowed attendees to reacquaint with old friends and further discuss issues, from local to global, facing pork producers, such as input costs, the supply chain and the war in Ukraine.
In addition to business, Pork Forum is a time to honor those who have dedicated their careers to the pork industry. Attendees were also entertained by keynote speaker, Joe Theismann, former professional football player and broadcaster.
