Peanut Efficiency Award: Family plays a key role on Karl Stutzman’s farm.
Karl Stutzman, Weatherford, Okla., is the 2022 Peanut Efficiency Award winner for the Southwest. He and three other producers will be honored at the Farm Press PEA Breakfast, July 23, during the Southern Peanut Growers Conference in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The Peanut Efficiency Award is based on production proficiency, honoring growers who produce the highest yields by using inputs wisely and efficiently. The awards are presented based on a producer’s entire farm operation and not on individual farms or small plots.

Four winners were selected from the following peanut-producing regions:
Upper southeast states: Ben Cowin, Williamston, N.C.
Lower southeast states: Wayne Hobbs, Rebecca, Georgia
Delta states: Mitchell Rogers, Collins, Miss.
Southwest states: Karl Stutzman, Weatherford, Okla.
