Max Armstrong talks about volunteerism at county and state fairs.
Many friends have been involved in fairs in recent days, and some radio friends of Max have been a part of the local fairs. Dave Kunkel, who recently retired from WRAY in Princeton, Ind., has been a part of his county fair for over 50 years, and each of those years a small group of people volunteer to put the fair together. Many things have changed over the years, says Dave,, including costs, and sometimes it’s hard to find workers, but we must keep it going.
Dave reminds listeners that those fairs are an attraction for many, and are so important for young people.
