Reap increased efficiency from tillage tools

What’s New From the Shows: Several tools allow you to cover more acres faster.

The emphasis among companies introducing new tillage tools at shows was clearly on offering tillage implements that are versatile, flexible and that allow growers to cover lots of acres at high speeds.

Several new machines made the new tillage tool lineup, along with some machines that were updated and improved so that they operate even more efficiently than before.

Kuhn introduced the Interceptor 8055, made to operate at speeds of 8 to 10 mph without the hopping action that sometimes occurs with high-speed tillage tools. Expect to find multiple uses for this offering from Kuhn.

Farmada, a relatively new company founded by people with tons of experience in the tillage machinery business, unveiled a high-speed disk positioned for running behind the combine. Spokespersons say you can run 2.5 times faster with this machine compared to a conventional disk-harrow.

The Halo VRT from Salford for 2023 features adjustments from the cab, and the Rogue VT from Soil Service Inc. now features a top link over the hitch that makes leveling and adjusting much easier.
