The latest grain market outlook and an update on North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regulations related to farm equipment on public roads will be the topic of an in-person meeting set for Thursday, Dec. 8 in Elizabeth City.
The in-person meeting runs from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Dec. 8, in Building AE on the campus of the College of Albemarle, 1208 North Road Street, in Elizabeth City, N.C.
In the meeting, Nick Piggott, North Carolina State University Extension economist, will provide a market outlook to help growers with marketing decisions of grain crops. N.C. State Extension Specialist Derek Washburn will show how N.C. State’s Crop Comparison Tool can assist farmers with making decisions about how much of each crop comprises their crop mix for 2023.
In addition, Daryl Anderson, Extension agent, Wayne County, will share information pertaining to Department of Motor Vehicles regulations related to farm equipment on public roads, and James Rogerson, Master Trooper, North Carolina Department of Public Safety, will answer questions related to Department of Motor Vehicles regulations.
The meeting is hosted by the Northeast Ag Expo team, comprised of North Carolina Cooperative Extension Centers in the counties of Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans.
