The Seam recently announced the expansion of its team with four new hires. Nate Brandeburg joined the company as Senior Solutions Architect and Shane Duncan as Software Engineer, both reporting to Jason Sutton, Director of Information Technology. Jesus Marron, a Jr. Systems Engineer, reports to Mark Romer, IT Systems Architect. David Stone joined as Manager of Special Projects, reporting to Chairman and CEO Mark Pryor.

Brandeburg is responsible for software architecture design and implementation, as well as full-stack software development. Prior to joining the company, he served as a digital innovation engineer for a prominent biotech organization, a software development advisor for a major technology enterprise, and a backend Java software developer and software architect for a global logistics company. Brandeburg’s other roles include network and systems administration, and a stint as an industrial IoT software engineer. A native of Hershey, Pennsylvania, he became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) in 2018.
As a software engineer, Duncan takes part in the design, development and implementation of features and applications that improve The Seam’s ability to serve its customers. He was previously a Java developer supporting customers with software issues and bug fixes, alongside implementing new features for applications. Duncan was trained at the Skill Distillery in Denver, Colorado.
Marron’s systems engineer position includes assisting in all aspects of systems and network functions, including design, security, hardware, cabling, operating systems, utility, communications and applications. His background as an IT analyst affords him the knowledge to help internal users evaluate, obtain and maintain the technical tools they need to fulfill their job duties.
In his role overseeing special projects, Stone’s initial focus is the Open Market Consortium, powered by The Seam, in conjunction with AgLaunch, Mississippi State University, Tennessee State University and the Wallace Center at Winrock International. Stone joins the company from a global leader in custom software solutions for Commodities Trading Risk Management (CTRM) and Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM). His previous roles involved product strategy, business analysis, software design and architecture for multiple commodities, including cotton, coffee, cocoa and more. His expertise also includes architecture for multi-language and currencies, trading risk, logistics, market-to-market valuations and derivatives for multiple asset classes.
