Farm bridges consumer-producer communication gap

Kansas Master Farmer couple shares agriculture’s message through videos and local food.

Wayne and Carrie Grimm are one of the six couples who have been named to the 2021 class of Kansas Master Farmers and Farm Homemakers.

The Grimms farm Double G&L Farms with their five daughters near Morrill, Kan., in Brown County. This farm family has several different enterprises — from raising cattle and crops, to the Grimm Girls Farm dog grooming and licensed dog breeding business, to a food chuckwagon, to advocating for agriculture through their YouTube channel and Farm Safety Days for nearby schoolchildren. Through all of their enterprises, the Grimms strive to bridge the gap between the producer and the consumer, furthering understanding of how food gets to our tables.
