Legacy L Series gets two new models with an enhanced style and independent PTO for some versions.
Every major tractor brand has that iconic model. For Kubota, it’s the L Series. As the company celebrates its 50th anniversary selling tractors in the United States, it’s also adding two new models to the L Series.
“The L Series is designed to provide performance with an affordable price, and we don’t want to lose sight of that,” says Beau Woodbury, compact tractor product manager. “Little additions can add up to big changes.”
The two new models are the L3302 and the L3902, which started shipping to dealers this spring. The new machines gain added operator comfort, modern styling and an independent PTO for HST models.
Woodbury says other changes make maintaining the machine easier:
Oil dipstick and cap are color-coded.
Upgraded fuel filter comes with a water separator.
Maintenance access moves to tractor’s right side.
Also, operator comfort increases with better seat suspension and a more open operator station. Standard on the machines are LED headlights and work lights, and floor mats. A brush guard is optional.
The HST versions of the L02 models feature an independent PTO, which makes it easier to engage and disengage, Woodbury says. He says these new machines are the official introduction of the next generation of the popular Standard L Series line.
The L3302 features 32 engine hp, and the L3902 has 37.5 engine hp. The engines powering each feature a common rail system with electronic controlled fuel injection.
For the HST models, the brakes have been moved to the left-hand side and the clutch pedal as been removed to offer more room.
Along with the launch of the L02 models, Kubota released the LA526 loader. Woodbury says the “take rate” of loaders when someone buys a Standard L Series is consistently high. The new loader features a round-shaped bucket for more capacity. “And it’s predrilled for the addition of a blade if someone wants to do that,” he adds.
NEW WITH LOADER: This L3902 features the new LA526 loader with a deeper bucket. When outfitted with a hydrostatic transmission both the L3302 and L3902 have an independent PTO.
With the enhanced operator features, improved lighting and independent PTO for the HST models, Kubota shows it maintains its continuous improvement program for products. Woodbury notes that the Standard L Series is the top-selling compact tractor in the United States.
Suggested list price for the L3902 with loader (as shown) is $29,658. For the L3302 with a gear-drive transmission, the base price for the tractor is $21,567. Learn more at kubotausa.com.
