The Seam Expands, Appoints New Software Engineer

MEMPHIS, Tenn., December 20, 2018 – The Seam, a leading provider of agribusiness software and trading solutions, today announced the appointment of Kristi Lofton as Software Engineer. Lofton will report to Jason Sutton, Manager of Software Engineering, and Mark Pryor, Chairman and CEO at The Seam.

“We’re thrilled to have Kristi join our team of hardworking software developers,” said Pryor. “Her background in technology makes her a tremendous asset to The Seam, and we look forward to leveraging her skills to improve and further establish data standards within the cotton supply chain.”

As Software Engineer, Lofton is responsible for writing, debugging and maintaining the software solutions that The Seam provides for its clients, as well as contributing to the development of new and ongoing initiatives, such as the Cotton Technology Alliance.

Lofton graduated from Columbia University in 2015, where she received a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. Prior to working at The Seam, she served as an office administrator and veterinary technician at Walnut Grove Animal Clinic, where she would manage client communications, troubleshoot technical problems, implement solutions, and assist doctors in the care of patients. Earlier this year, she also received her Code 1.0 certification from Tech901.
