State fairs, a farmer mental health help line and innovative new products are featured this week, as well as Farm Progress Show reminders.

Chriss Chinn, Missouri director of agriculture, joins the broadcast virtually to talk about the Missouri State Fair, as well as crop conditions in the state and mental health awareness. The state has launched a local help line, staffed with people who have agriculture and farming knowledge. 833-897-2474 is available 24/7, 365, and you can also text it.

At the desk, Dale Durchholz, Grain Cycles, talks with Max about markets, including crop yield estimates, crop conditions, final acreage numbers from USDA, economic impact on agriculture, Ukraine grain exports, and the Chinese economy.

In the ag tech segment, Chad Colby talks with John Witter, TNT Systems, about detailing tractors with their new products. John will be at Farm Progress Show with the products.

A feature from Farm Next is shared. Grain Weevil, developed by Chad and Ben Johnson, is a robot that can aerate grain in the bin to help quality and safety.

Another feature is from Dave Krog, Salin 24, who developed an autonomous planter to help with soil compaction. The machine can be used for spraying and sidedressing as well, and multiple machines can be used at one time in the field.

Max talked to Kim Helgen, Bayer Plus, about working with farmers and new solutions in the pipeline for crop protection, as well as Bayer Plus Rewards
